Why this site exists

The Old Gold Archive is a labor of love, built by a collector for collectors. Its purpose is:

• Educational.Documenting Mitchell & Ness baseball jerseys as historical artifacts.
• Research reference. A place to look up production eras, tag variations, patch history, and jersey provenance without wading through auction listings or scattered forum posts.
• Community preservation.Recording knowledge that currently lives in collector-group memory before it's lost.
• Personal enjoyment. Because building it is fun.

This site has no relationship with Mitchell & Ness Nostalgia Co., Major League Baseball, any MLB franchise, any player past or present, any player's estate, or any collectible-jersey retailer.
